Sparling Hires Six New Staff Members in Lynnwood

February 3, 2014 - Sparling welcomes Aaron Anderson, PE, Kellen Davis, Drew Neskow, and Tomas Martinez as electrical project designers; Crystal Berig as studio coordinator; and Mika Abera as project accountant in its Lynnwood office.

Anderson has over 10 years of experience working on electrical power systems, six of those years for the US Navy. His military background gives him a keen understanding of military standards and great familiarity with their infrastructure requirements. His expertise includes medium voltage power systems and generators. Currently, Anderson is working on Puget Sound Naval Shipyard projects, including FY-14 B431 Seismic Upgrade, and DD2 Steam and Electrical Replacement.

Davis's past experience includes six years of work as an electrician on submarines in the US Navy. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 2013. His areas of expertise include power distribution systems and power generating equipment. Currently he is working on several projects at Naval Hospital Bremerton and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

Neskow has five years of experience in power and lighting systems design, arc flash coordination studies, Revit and CAD design and drafting, LEED certifications, energy sustainability, and lightning protection. He has a background in military and healthcare. Currently, he is working on University of Washington Medical Center Montlake Tower Phase II Expansion, Seattle Children's Main Campus Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Renovation, and Seattle Children's Hope Building Level 4&5 Bed/Office Addition.

Martinez has experience in researching alternative energy sources and designing electrical power systems using AutoCAD and Revit. He earned his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington. His duties on projects include calculating total building load, calculating wire sizing and conduit sizing, assigning electrical equipment to electrical panels and circuit breakers, and reviewing progress and testing power at the construction site. Currently, Martinez is providing design assistance on Washington State Convention Center, Renton Library, and Friday Harbor Museum of Art.

Berig has over 10 years of experience in administrative work. At Sparling, she provides administrative assistance to one of its electrical studios.

Abera has 15 years of experience in the accounting field. Her areas of expertise include accounts receivable with an emphasis on payment and cash application and project billing.
